 Miyazaki Electronics Co., Ltd founded as a subsidiary of Asahi Kasei Corporation, started hall sensor business

 1982

 Miyazaki Electronics renamed to Asahi Kasei Electrionics ("AKE")

 1983  Asahi Kasei founded Asahi Microsystems as a 50:50 JV with AMI, started IC business
 1984  Established LSI Design Center
   Released Fine Pattern Coil products, established Fine Pattern Product Div. 
 1986

 Turned Asahi Microsystems to a 100% subsidiary of Asahi Kasei Corp, renamed to Asahi Kasei Microsystems ("AKM")

 

 AKE Fuji fabrication facility started its operation

 1987  AKM Atsugi wafer fabrication facility started its operation
 1993  AKM Nobeoka wafer fabrication facility started its operation
 1995  Established AKM Semiconductor Inc. (San Jose, USA)
 1996   Opened a office in Europe 
 2002  Established Asahi Kasei Technosystem, started system business 
 2003  Established Asahi Kasei EMD Corp by transfering electronics business of Asahi Kasei Corp
 2004

 Opened  a office at Shanghai, China

 2006  AKE Fuji fabrication facility (fab3) started its operation
   Opened Miyazaki Design Center (Established AKM Kyusyu)  
 2007  AKE and AKM integrated business with Asahi Kasei EMD Corp
   Opened a office at Seoul, Korea
   Acquired Al-Aid Coporation
 2008  Establiched a local subsidiary in Europe (Paris, France)
   Establiched a local subsidiary in China (Shanghai, China)
 2009  Transferred electronics material business to Asahi Kasei e-Materials, renamed Asahi Kasei Microdevices Corporation ("AKM") 
   Established Asahi Kasei Toko Power Devices Corporation ("ATPD"), started Power Management IC business in earnest
   Established a local subsidiary in Taiwan (Taipei, Taiwan)
   Opened Sendai Design Center (AKM Kyusyu renamed to AKM Technology)
 2011  Reorganized Power Management IC business (ATPD renamed to Asahi Kasei Power Devices Corporation("AKPD"))
