There is an increasing demand for low current consumption technology in energy harvesting and wearables, in these technologies there is a need to improve secondary batteries life and as well as electric storage of devices. AKM’s new AP4400AEC is able to be a critical component of the power management block within these immerging technologies, that converts un-utilized energy from surrounding environments and converts to electric power needed by the main system.
Asahi Kasei Microdevices Corporation (AKM) has developed high accurate CMOS voltage detection LSI, the AP4400AEC. An ultra-low current consumption performance of 20nA (typ.) is featured in the AP4400AEC.

Samples of the AP4400AECKE, that has 3V maximum and 2.5V minimum detection voltage range, and will be available from this October. Derivatives of this product with different high and low threshold detection voltages will also be available.
