VELVET SOUNDVERITAAsahi Kasei Microdevices Corporation, (AKM), has developed a new D/A converter, (DAC), the AK4499EQ.  It is the latest, “VELVET SOUND VERITA”, product, following the prior generation flagship DAC, the AK4497EQ.  The AK4499 adopts Current Output architecture, which is the first among AKM products.  It achieves the world’s highest class of low THD+N and high S/N.
Engineering Samples will be available in January, 2019, and Mass Production starts from May, 2019.

● Dynamic Sound Playback with Vast Playback Resolution Detail

The same Dedicated for Premium Audio LSI process and Premium Audio Non-Magnetic Packaging Technology as the AK4497EQ developed for audio by AKM is also used for the AK4499EQ.  It can improve electrical margin and noise around low frequency ranges dramatically.
