Overview
The CQ3 series is a coreless current sensor IC series offering small size, fast response, and insulation.
It is capable of fast overcurrent detection in locations where isolation is required, which is difficult to achieve with shunt resistors + insulated amplifiers or cored current sensors. It can also be used with high carrier frequencies.
The CQ330x and CQ320x use the same package and support power supply voltages of 5V and 3.3V respectively. Their lineups meet a wide range of current sensing needs.

Features
1. Wide band, Fast response time
The CQ3 series utilizes ultra-high accuracy compound Hall elements, one of AKM's strengths, to cover a wide bandwidth (1000kHz frequency) and provide a fast response time (0.5 μsec). As a result, it can instantly detect current when overcurrent flows.
Furthermore, it can also adjust to the high carrier frequency caused by next-generation power devices (GaN/SiC).
2. Small-sized, Insulated
The CQ3 series adapt an small SOP package (D/W/H:7.6mm×7.9mm×1.15mm). It uses Material Group=1 molded resin and can provide reinforced insulation even in 200V systems.
In addition, it is IEC/UL62368 certified and can be used in many applications where insulation is required.
3. Wide Product Lineup
Wide product lineups can be provided at VDD=5V and 3.3V.
