Description

The AK7451 is a 12-bit rotation angle sensor that detects the direction of a magnetic field parallel to the IC surface and follows high-speed rotation up to 20,000 rpm using our proprietary technology. 
The AK7451 has a simple configuration of a small magnet and can detect the rotation angle without contact.
The AK7451 supports up to eight poles of UVW phase output for improved versatility, enabling the rotor position detection required for DCBL motor drive to be realized without using a Hall IC. Also, the ABZ phase resolution setting has been increased from 4 to 16 to improve the convenience of motor control. This makes it possible to support a wide range of applications, such as various motors for industrial equipment.
The magnetic rotation angle sensor detects the rotation speed and rotation angle from the rotating magnetic field by combining with a magnet. It detects magnetic fields, so it is resistant to dust and oil stains that optical encoders dislike, and its small size allows a compact motor mechanism.

  • A non-contact rotation angle sensor is easily realized in combination with a magnet.
    The AK7451 is a Si monolithic magnetic rotation angle sensor IC with a built-in Hall element. 
    The AK7451 has excellent tolerance to misalignment by using a transverse magnetic field detection method using a dipole magnetized magnet and a magnetic converging plate.
  • Compatible with high-speed rotation.
    It tracks up to 20,000 rpm by the tracking servo architecture, and the output delay time is 1.8μs.
  • Compatible with programmable ABZ / UVW phase output.
    The built-in EEPROM allows you to set any angle position to 0 °, zero point setting, rotation direction, ABZ output resolution (total of 16 patterns in addition to 1024, 512, 256, 128), and the number of UVW output pulses (1 to 8) Can be programmed.
