Description

The AK1595B is a Bluetooth® transmitter IC that greatly simplifies the addition of wireless connectivity to a system. Compared to the AK1595A, it has features of AEC-Q100, wettable flank QFN and -40 to 105ºC operation range to support automotive quality.

There is no need to develop complicated, proprietary micro controller code; Bluetooth® Low Energy compliant advertising transmission can be achieved by simply configuring the transmission power, data, and transmission start trigger via the AK1595B’s UART or I²C interface. The AK1595B can achieve extremely low system current consumption by using the fast start-up power down mode and the built-in timer. The AK1595B supports Direction finding data format which can be achieved by simply setting the AK1595B internal register. Using the AK1595B to add wireless connectivity to a product can simplify system design and reduce BOM cost.

Automotive-grade Bluetooth transmitter IC
The AK1595B does not have a receiving function and is suitable for applications requiring only transmission. it has features of AEC-Q100, wettable flank QFN and -40 to 105ºC operation range to support automotive quality.

Ultra low power consumption
2nA power down mode with keeping register and 2ms start up time, and 0.5uA built-in timer with an interrupt function to an external microcontroller can minimize the system interval current during intermittent transmission.

Supports Direction Finding format
The Constant Tone Extension (CTE) can be added to the end of the advertisement packet and usable as a low-cost tag for AoA (Angle of Arrival).

It is suitable for migration from dedicated frequency bands to Bluetooth® in automotive applications.
