Flammable Gas Sensors

Flammable gas sensor made available by Senseair, featuring superior safety by eliminating ignition risks, long life without the need for maintenance, ultra-low power consumption, and high accuracy

Products

Asahi Kasei Microdevices (AKM) Senseair has developed a highly safe and superior gas-selectivity flammable NDIR type gas sensor. This ultracompact yet, high-precision sensor can be used for a long period of time without requiring any maintenance through its unique compensation technology.
This sensor is suitable for detecting leaks of the refrigerant gas in air conditioners and other equipment that require safety and high accuracy, including R32, and for various types of flammable gas detection applications.

Why Senseair's R32 sensor is chosen

R32 refrigerant gases that are used in many air conditioners are slightly flammable. However, there is a risk of being burnt if they are used in large air conditioners as they are used in large quantities.
For this reason, an increasing number of products are equipped with sensors that detect refrigerant gas leaks.
However, most sensors so far had various challenges, such as the risk of igniting leaking gases.
In order to solve these problems, we introduce here a mildly flammable refrigerant (R32) sensor, which has been newly developed by Senseair, an AKM's group company.
