Description
The AK4911 is a high‑performance single‑channel audio operational amplifier designed to meet the demands of next‑generation high‑resolution audio systems. The AK4911 delivers audio performance beyond what was thought possible, with ultra-low noise and distortion characteristics—0.96 nV/√Hz noise density and -150 dB THD+N at 1 kHz—that are unachievable with conventional operational amplifiers. An ample ±100 mA output-drive capability makes it possible for these devices to maintain excellent THD+N while driving the most challenging loads, even during 8-channel current summing for a DAC. More importantly, the AK491x is designed to convey the signal generated by the D/A converter with exceptional fidelity, adding nothing and taking nothing away. By preserving every nuance and detail inherent in the original sound, it faithfully embodies the VELVET SOUND™ philosophy of delivering audio “as if you were there.”
