Description
The AK09940A is a 3-axis Electronic Magnetometer that uses TMR magnetic sensor elements to achieve world-class ultra-low noise performance. The sensor element, signal processing circuit, AD converter, etc. are incorporated into an ultra-small package, and the measured magnetic vector is digitally output in 18-bits for each of the X, Y, and Z axes.
Since it can measure distortion, fluctuation, and leakage of a weak magnetic field, it is ideal for applications such as magnetic metal flaw detection and metal foreign matter detection for an unspecified weak magnetic field. In addition, taking advantage of its ultra-low power consumption, it is the best match for 3-axis magnetic measurement in wearable and IoT devices that use small capacity batteries.

Upward compatible with AK09940.
Utilizing the ultra-small package, it is possible to measure weak magnetic vectors at pinpoints.
The external trigger input function and serial interface specifications are useful for synchronous measurement of multiple sensors.
