Magnetic sensors
AKM provides magnetic sensor products based on its compound semiconductor thin-film technology, enabling highly accurate detection of position, angle, rotation, and current.
These products are used in a wide range of applications, including air conditioning systems, automotive equipment, and smart devices, contributing to energy efficiency, enhanced functionality, and improved safety.
Utilizing this technology, AKM also offers sensing devices such as infrared (IR) sensors, providing solutions for an expanding range of sensing applications.
Gas Sensors
NDIR gas sensing devices and compact NDIR gas sensors featuring high precision, low power consumption, and high reliability. Solutions for a wide range of gas sensing applications, including CO₂, flammable gases, alcohol, and refrigerants, are provided to meet diverse customer needs. They contribute to solving social challenges such as energy conservation, refrigerant leak detection, and drunk driving prevention, helping to realize a safe, secure, and comfortable society.
Semiconductors
AKM provides high-performance ICs for audio, communication, and sensing applications, leveraging its proprietary circuit technologies, including analog and digital mixed-signal design.

Asahi Kasei Microdevices (AKM) operates an electronic components business as a member of the Asahi Kasei Group's material sector. AKM provides customers with unique products by combining the compound semiconductor technology mainly used for magnetic sensors with the ASIC/analog circuit technology based on silicon semiconductors.
In recent years, by anticipating the needs of the AI era, we are proposing sensing and audio solutions.
