High accuracy absolute Magnetic Rotary Angle Sensor

High accuracy absolute Magnetic Rotary Angle Sensor

EOL

Description

The AK7452 is a sensor that detects the direction of the magnetic field parallel to the IC surface. It is a 14-bit rotation angle sensor that follows high-speed rotation up to 25,000 rpm using our proprietary technology. With the simple configuration of the AK7452 and a small magnet, the rotation angle can be detected without contact. The power supply voltage is from 3.0V to 5.5V and a small package (TSSOP 16-pin) is used.

Key Features

  • Built-in angle error correction function
The AK7452 has an angle error correction function, which can improve the accuracy by correcting the angle error caused by mounting errors. The correction is realized by writing the parameter for correcting the angle error to the AK7452 built-in EEPROM.
  • Various parameter setting by built-in EEPROM
Built-in EEPROM allows zero point setting to set any angle position to 0 °, rotation direction, ABZ output resolution (any value from 1 to 4096), and programming of UVW poles (any value from 1 to 32) is.

Applications

  • Compact absolute rotary encoder, Compact input device (mode selector, control volume)
    Substitute for potentiometer, Rotary switch
