In addition to our audio converters and DSPs, AKM's lineup of sensors, including IR sensors that enable body temperature measurement inside the ear canal, and magnetic sensors that detect the opening and closing of earbud and hearing aid cases, simplifies and enhances wearable healthcare products.

AKM's 3-axis magnetic sensors, compasses, and other high-precision magnetic sensors can greatly enhance applications such as activity estimation and behavior monitoring. Additionally, AKM's contactless temperature sensors are characterized by their high-speed response and precision, allowing for quick and accurate skin temperature measurements for humans and their pets.

AKM's Bluetooth® Low Energy transmitter ICs, when used in conjunction with our boost ICs for energy harvesting, help simplify the design of wireless communications priducts such as nurse call systems and allow for products that do not require primary batteries.  Our high-precision magnetic sensors can be used to  improve the location accuracy of tracking tags for managing the location of staff and patients.
