Bluetooth® Low Energy Transmission IC

By attaching a tag to a person or an object and sending a beacon signal, it is possible to visualize when and where the person or object is by receiving the signal through a smartphone or a gateway. This system can be used for various purposes, such as managing equipment in industrial applications and checking employee attendance at the office.

Bluetooth® beacon evaluation kit that connects to smartphones

Among the many communication technologies, one of the greatest advantages of Bluetooth® is its connectivity with smartphones. With the AK1595A and AK1595B evaluation kit, a Bluetooth® transmission IC of Asahi Kasei Microdevices (AKM) that includes a smartphone application, you can start experimenting immediately with your smartphone.

The data to be sent is set by writing registers. The AK1595A and AK1595B uses Arduino, a commercially available microcontroller board, to interface with a PC, and does not require an SDK (Software Development Kit) specifically for the AK1595A and AK1595B. Sample programs are also widely available.
