Digital Crown Rotation and
Push Operation Detection

The digital crown is a knob-like input interface located on the side of a smartwatch, enabling screen scrolling and selection through rotation and push operations.

AKM’s 3D magnetic sensor detects both rotation and push operations by simply placing a single magnet near the sensor.

This enables a digital crown design with the reduced component count, low power consumption, and high layout flexibility.
