Achieves a coreless design while maintaining performance equivalent to cored current sensors.
It enhances design flexibility and contributes to further space savings in system design by reducing the sensor size.
EZ232L series
The EZ232L series is a field current sensor featuring a coreless design with an external busbar, capable of accurately measuring extremely high currents—up to several kiloamperes.
By realizing a coreless structure without a magnetic core, the sensor enables significant reductions in overall system size and weight compared with conventional cored current sensors.
By leveraging the low-noise characteristics of AKM’s high-sensitivity compound Hall elements, the sensor achieves high resolution of approximately 1 Arms even at current levels of several hundred amperes.*
This enables high energy efficiency even during low-torque operation in electric vehicle.
*Resolution depends on the busbar structure. For details, please refer to the PoC Reference documentation.
High‑sensitivity compound Hall elements enable a fast 500 ns response, ensuring safe overcurrent detection in next‑generation electrified vehicle powertrains based on SiC and GaN devices.
