Coreless Current Sensor with ΣΔ Digital Output - Optimized for AC Servo Amplifiers and Robots
Significantly Reduces Heat Generation and Contributes to System Miniaturization
The CQ36 series has a built-in ΣΔ modulator that can replace both shunt resistor + isolated ADC a single component.
It is highly compatible with AC servo amplifiers and robots while contributing to system miniaturization.
The current sensor and ΣΔ modulator are integrated into a single package.
System downsizing can be achieved by omitting the necessary parts required for the conventional solution with a shunt resistor and an isolated ADC.
No isolated power supply is required on the high-voltage side.
AKM has developed a unique package to achieve a low primary conductor resistance of 0.27mΩ.
Compared to shunt resistors, this reduces heat generation, making thermal design easier.
A low noise performance is achieved by leveraging the high sensitivity of compound Hall elements. This contributes to the precise torque control required for AC servo amplifiers and robots.

*1 It is defined as the "average value ± 1σ" of the actual measurement result (Ta = -10~85℃) in a certain lot.
*2 The typical value is defined as the “average value ± 1σ” of the actual measurement result (Ta = -10~85℃) in a certain lot.
In the same manner, the minimum and maximum values are defined as the “average value ± 3σ” of the actual measurement result (Ta = 0 to 90 °C) in a certain lot.
